This year’s celebration of our feast of Jesus Master was made extra special with the arrival of another vocation. We joyfully welcomed Finehika Fonua who came from the friendly island of Tonga to join our Congregation. Our postulant, Lalamea who is currently doing her formation in the Philippine’s Province was also here during this time, as she had come to spend her annual vacation in Sydney. It was wonderful to have these young vocations with us, they truly bring so much joy and vitality to our community.
The feast of Jesus Master was celebrated together with members of the Pauline Family. We had a beautiful Eucharistic celebration in our chapel, presided by Fr Andrew SSP. In the Liturgy of the Eucharist we were also able to incorporate some pacific cultural symbols, gestures and hymns. After the Mass everyone enjoyed each other’s company over a lovely morning tea. We were also delighted to be entertained by our two candidates who dressed in their cultural costumes, gracefully performed their traditional dances. It was not long before others also got up to dance as well!
We thank Jesus Master for all his wonderful blessings and continue to pray for vocations.
