INTENSE TIME OF WELCOMING, RENEWAL AND CELEBRATION.
Over these past few weeks the sisters of the Australian Delegation has been enjoying quite a number of events. On the 22nd of January we warmly welcomed Sr.M. Anetta Szczykutowicz G.C. to our Delegation.
On the 24th January the Strathfield community were happy to welcome our sisters from the Melbourne communities. The Delegation Assembly commenced the following day with Sr, Anetta as our facilitator. We were presented with a few very interesting, thought provoking and animated sessions and the sisters were given a lot of materials and input to deepen and reflect on. There was lively participation during the sessions and also during the time allotted for group sharing. At the end of the Assembly we all felt re-energized and enriched.
The induction of the new Delegation Leadership team took place at the end of the Assembly, during Evening prayer. The new Delegate Superior is: Sr.Maria Amalamo and the two councillors are: Sr M.Anita D’Souza and Sr.M.Christine Pisani who is also the Secretary. The Delegation bursar is Sr.M.Catherine Hipwell.
Another significant event which we joyfully celebrated together was the 50th anniversary of religious profession of Sr.M.Catherine Attard and Sr.M.Christine Pisani. We rejoiced and thanked God for all the blessings and graces granted to the two sisters who have faithfully and joyfully lived out their PDDM vocation and mission over the past fifty years.
In our multi-cultural reality and context we are united in diversity and wish to continue to walk together on the path of synodality.
As we journey together towards the future we do so with renewed hope and enthusiasm.
