Centennial Song
The song chosen, among the many received, is entitled "Run, do not fear" composed by our novice Monica Marzulli. It's simple, catchy and magnetic in rhythm and message, easy to memorize. It communicates the Easter joy of meeting the Master, the sole reason for the vocational choice of each of his disciples.
Its original Italian version was recorded by a choir of mixed international voices: sisters, our novices and the novices of the Society of St. Paul in Italy.
Run without fear, o women of the Gospel,
called to proclaim Jesus to the world.
But you don’t be afraid; death, you have lost.
The stone is rolled away from the tomb.
Run without fear, o women of the Gospel,
called to proclaim Jesus to the world.
Death, you are not winner, life is shining now.
Word you are living among us.
- At the first light early in the morning
Perfumes and tears I went carrying
At the tomb I sought out my Beloved
A Voice called my name:
“Mary!” “Rabbouni!”. - Do not look for the Living among the dead:
I am alive and I am with you
every day until the end of time.
Forever, I am here.
Go out and announce! - May my words remain in you,
the Spirit reminds you of them all.
Everything that He will teach you
Is life, is truth.
Go forth! I am the Way!
